Software Updates for UPS System The development is continuously going on and it is GUTOR’s aim to make reliable systems even better. Therefore we have created a new software version based on our collected experience and our clients’ feedback:
The GUTOR software package 5.
The new package offers new available software with its major improvements. In order to increase the availability and improve the handling of your essential UPS systems we recommend replacing the existing software in your GUTOR UPS’s.

RTC (Real Time Clock) Controller for PXW / WXW UPS Systems RTC Main UPS Controller provides time stamped event-and alarm recording which is essential for trouble-shooting and process control monitoring. A detailed overview on all alarms and events happened allows detailed analysis about the main conditions and UPS behaviour. Fault investigation can be minimised and first level support will become very effective with this feature. view picture |

Advanced Battery Monitor (ABM) The battery monitor can perform battery tests automatically and monitors its current condition at every discharge. Additionally, it calculates the remaining autonomy time related to the current load. It is vital to know about the current battery condition in order to avoid any shutdowns due to poor performance, or non-availability. Regular cycling keeps the battery fresh and reveals possible failures. |
Redundant internal Power Supply Unit (PSU) The internal power supply unit (PSU) powers all control electronics within the UPS and is therefore highly critical. Adding a second PSU in parallel reduces common-mode failures and improves the overall system availability. If one board fails the UPS system is still healthy and can be restored without disturbing the critical load. view picture |
Battery choke Excessive ripple current flowing through batteries shortens the battery lifetime. Inserting a choke into the battery path reduces ripple currents up to 80% and therefore maximises the battery lifetime. |
New Power Modules (PM) The new Inverter Power Module family is based on the latest IGBT (insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) technology and replaces the former TSM and PSIP inverter module generation. view picture |
